1940s Experience News
Thankyou to those that came to our Open Day in February. We're now coming up to a busy run of Open Days at The Forties Experience, where we will have four open days in the space of five weeks. We have our March Open Day on Sunday 29th March, followed two weeks later by our Forties Family Experience Weekend IX on Saturday 11th March and Sunday 12th March, which is followed two weeks later by our April Open Day on Sunday 26th April.
Those that have visited us over the last couple of months might have noticed that we are running our cinema more often now. Before, any time we ran the cinema we had to turn the lights off in the 1950s room as well, causing visitors to think that the 1950s room was not open. Now we can control the cinema lights independently. As we now have the cinema running more than the evacuee talks, I have changed the "Evacuee talks" page to the Cinema page.
We are discontinuing our run of children's activity booklets for the forseeable future. They may return at some point, but for now they will no longer be available from our gift shop.
That's all for now. Our next open day is Sunday 29th March 2015, where we'll be holding a sale of vintage hats, gloves and bags in our entrance foyer.
Until next time.
